Hello! How are you doing? Well, I am back again with another story to encourage you in your walk with God. This time it is a financial testimony. This took place quite a while ago. However, God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Therefore, here I am today, sharing about His goodness so that we can meditate and remind ourselves about His faithfulness in our lives.
Here is my angel testimony, if you are interested to know how God rescued me when I was alone and trapped on a terrace at dusk .
The Time Between Graduating and Looking for a Job
Around 7 years ago, I graduated from university and I was actively looking for a job. As you all know, it takes a while to find a job especially when you are fresh out of college. In the meantime, I also had to pay my rent which was 300 euros at that time per month. I had almost finished all my savings and I was using the little money that I had left to travel for interviews.
Well, one of the positions that I applied for and got selected was in a highly-esteemed workplace. I cannot reveal any more details about it as I had already signed an oath with them to not reveal all the details about it, years ago. Therefore, I am strictly outlining it, so that you get an idea. However, I knew that if I accepted that position, I had to hustle 7 days a week and no weekends off and the initial pay was good but not excellent for 7 day work-week. Moreover, I would have to commute more than an hour everyday to the workplace. Therefore, I rejected the offer after careful consideration. I knew that it was not the one for me.
If I had accepted the offer, I would have had a stable work in a note-worthy and highly famous organization and that would have helped me catapult my career but I didn’t feel that it was the right fit for me. Therefore, I was back at the same position I was before, fresh graduate, searching for a job with little to no savings left. I now didn’t have any means to pay my rent or buy food for that month.
Therefore, I prayed and asked God to provide for me. I didn’t beg or plead with Him. I simply asked God to take care of me.
The Surprise Message On My Phone
Around 3-4 days after I had prayed and rejected the offer, I received a message on my phone from the interviewer asking me if I was interested in taking a survey and giving a feedback about the interview. I was surprised in receiving a message from them and replied yes. The interviewer replied via an SMS message something like this “We just want to know your reasons for rejecting the offer. You can fill our survey and we will pay you”.
When I read those words, I was actually taken-aback. It was too good to be true. I am not a famous or a well-known person. I was an ordinary student from a foreign country and here they were willing to pay me money to fill a survey about why I rejected their offer. Moreover, which company will pay you for rejecting their offer? However, I thought that they would pay me about 20 euros or maybe a maximum of 50 euros. Now, you and I both know that expecting 20 euros for filling out a survey was already a stretch considering how much surveys in general pay you.
The Payment
Therefore, I went to the company and filled the survey and they were not happy that I rejected the offer. To them, I was the right fit for that position. As soon as I finished the survey, the person in-charge handed me an envelope with the tax receipt and the total amount they paid me was 400 euros almost minus the taxes and I had enough to pay my rent and for my monthly expenses. I still have the receipt with me to this day and I look at it from time to time to remind myself of God’s goodness when things seem rough financially. The very next month itself, God provided for me and sent me to another job near my house where I met my husband.
This is an excellent testimony (if I can say so myself) of how God takes care of His children. Remember, I had only asked God to take care of me. I didn’t ask God to send me another job or a survey or money. He promptly took care of me in the way and means that only He could! Hallelujah! Only, He can do it. I give Him all the glory today!
God is so faithful and good isn’t it? There were many times where I had let Him down but He didn’t let me down. He is always true to His word. When He says He will never leave us nor forsake us it is the truth. And, time and time again He has proven it in many different ways to me.

I am sharing this financial testimony on my blog here to encourage you. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He was able to provide for me financially 7 years ago, He surely will do it again for me today. And, if He can do it for me, surely He will do it for you too because He no respecter of persons. Therefore, whatever might be your financial situation call out to Him like I did and ask Him to ‘take care of you’ and He will.
